Adaptations of Flamingos in their Environment

Flamingos can afford to live in waters because of their long legs that they can wade in the water with. They have webbed feet that they can use to walk on the soft mud. The webbed feet also allow them to swim and when the water is beyond wading depth, the flamingos can swim, but there is no evidence that flamingos can dive. Like any other mammal, flamingos breathe using their lungs and hodl their breath while under water. When the flamingos are resting, they can sit down and tuck their legs beneath them or let can sleep by standing on one leg and putting there head down.
